The Indigenous Association for the Development and Conservation of Bajo Puinahua (AIDECOBAP) denounced that PetroTal allegedly called a meeting with the participation of the Navy, the National Police and the JAP in the Prefecture of Iquitos to plan the intervention against the communities of Bajo Puinahua. The intervention would retaliate and intimidate the community members who were protesting for the revision and restructuring of the regulations for the administration of the Development Fund for the District of Puinahua (Fund 2.5), respecting the collective rights of the indigenous peoples.
