Response by Yokohama

To whom it may concern,

Business & Human Rights Resource Center

We have recently become aware of an article posted on your website which states that we had not responded to a letter from Belarusian activists, the Professional Union of Belarusians in Britain (PUBB), regarding worker’s rights at BMZ (Belarus).

However, before learning of this article, we have not received any letter or, indeed, any communication from PUBB, including correspondence in relation to BMZ.

Nonetheless, after becoming apprised of this possible inquiry from PUBB, we have been taking responsive action. In particular, we are closely monitoring the current situation in Belarus.

Yokohama Rubber Group is committed to complying with all applicable domestic and international laws and to respecting human rights, as stated in our Action Guidelines.

Best regards,

Corporate Planning Department
