"Peru: CGTP expresses support for the Toquepala Workers’ Union amid dispute with Southern" 23 January 2025
The General Confederation of Workers of Peru (CGTP) expressed its rejection of Southern Peru’s stance in the collective bargaining process with the Toquepala and Annexes Workers’ Union (STTA)…

In addition, the CGTP urged union leaders to act responsibly and avoid situations that could harm the struggle for better working conditions. “It is necessary to reflect on these anti‑union practices, which weaken the negotiating power of trade unions,” the confederation declared.
