India: Over one thousand garment workers protest over months of alleged unpaid wages; incl. co. responses

In April 2026, it was reported that over one thousand garment workers at the Orient Craft Fashion Industries in India protested over alleged unpaid salaries, with some workers reportedly owed two months' worth of wages. The factory's HR Manager alleged that the US tariffs had created financial pressure for the factory and impacted its exports.
In June 2026, Business & Human Rights Centre invited alleged buyers N Brown Group (for JD Williams), Reiss, Next, JoJo Maman Bébé to respond. The responses can be found below.
