A news report by Foreign Policy released in January 2025 included an interview of a worker injured from the PT ITSS factory blast in December 2024. According to the worker, despite a compensation of 10 million rupiahs (about $620) had already been promised by the company, the amount was still not received.

The Business and Human Rights Centre had reached out to Tsingshan Group, parent company of PT ITSS, for comment. they did not respond.
