Myanmar: Burma Campaign UK add 53 companies to ‘Dirty List’ for alleged involvement with the junta's operations or human rights violations, incl. cos. response & non-responses

On 20 July 2026, Burma Campaign UK added new 53 companies to its "Dirty List", recording companies' involvements with the Myanmar military based on publicly available records, bringing the total to 228.

The 53 companies include: Alibaba Group/Aliyun, ALT Telecom/International Gateway Co Ltd, Baker Hughes, ByteDance/TikTok, Canadian Foresight Group Limited, Canal +, China Mobile, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd (Sinotruck), China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC)/China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL), China Railway Engineering Group/China Eryuan Engineering Group, Cisco, Coens, Cogent Communications, Comit Corporation, DCI Group, Destini Berhad, Element/BM Trada, ENRA Group Berhad, F5 Inc., Federal International, Fortinet, FPT Software, Halliburton, HC Foods, Hurricane Electric, Huya/APKPure, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Inno Group, Jasmine International/Jastel Network, Juniper, Mat Bao, McKeon Group, Microsoft, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), Mizuho Bank, North Petroleum & Chemical Group Co. Ltd. (NPCC), Oje Parvaz Mado Nafar Company (MADO), Omnipol Group/Aircraft Industries a.s., Oracle, Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Palo Alto, PetroVietnam, Qeshm Fars Air, Roscosmos (State Corporation for Space Activities), SED Energy Holdings, SES/Intelsat, SLB, Space X/Xai/X, Special Technology Centre (STC), Symphony Communication Public Company Limited, Thaicom, Weatherford International, and Zenlayer.

The recent allegations highlight how gaps in sanctions allow these companies to still have business relationships in Myanmar amid the junta’s ongoing human rights abuses and military operations.

In July, Business and Human Rights Centre invited the 53 companies, except Oje Parvaz Mado Nafar Company and Qeshm Fars Air who could not be contacted, to respond to the allegations. Only Canal+ responded. The deadline for Hyundai Heavy Industry to respond is due on 10 August. If the alleged companies wish to provide their responses, the story page will be updated accordingly.
