Kosovo: Auditor’s Office finds multiple violations of legislation at Trepça’s units

The National Auditor's Office has found that the operation of the "Kopaonik - Leposaviq Flotation Mines" unit in the "Trepça" enterprise is not in compliance with legal requirements.

As for the functioning of this unit outside the organizational structure, the NAO has concluded that it constitutes a non-compliance with legal provisions and that it risks distorting the real financial statement of the enterprise.
In addition, the Auditor found that in the Leposaviq unit there is a difference between the number of employees declared to the Tax Administration and in the personnel register.
Regarding the placement of workers in workplaces, the NAO has also identified violations in the Business Unit in Stantërg.
"We have verified that 41 employees, who were assigned to a specific job with contracts during 2024, have worked in another job within the business unit. Also, shortcomings have been identified regarding job positions, because 21 employees hold positions that are not provided for in the systematization regulation," the report states...
The NAO has also found violations in the failure to use the e-procurement system for contract management and in the evaluation of contractors' performance.
