Bangladesh: EU apparel buyers accused of driving down prices amid US tariffs; incl. co. response

In July 2025, it was reported that European apparel buyers were 'taking advantage' of the US tariff uncertainty by demanding lower prices from garment suppliers seeking replacement markets, as US buyers reduced their order volumes. It was further reported that brands, including H&M and Inditex, had allegedly reduced their order volumes by 10-20 per cent, amid concerns surrounding the oncoming US tariffs.
