Unite Here Local 11, a labour union based in California, USA, is engaging in discussions with Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) and All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA) regarding human rights due diligence and remedy measures in connection with alleged issues at Flying Food Group (FFG), their in-flight catering supplier. These issues include violations of freedom of association, minimum wage law violations, occupational health and safety concerns, unfair dismissals, and sexual harassment. The discussions are being conducted in accordance with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct.

Attorney Shotaro Nakanishi of our firm is involved in this matter as legal counsel representing the Union.
